gratitude

My, oh my. It has been an awesome week for passioneats. It seems there’s a lot of love out there in the food blogosphere and I am humbled to be the grateful recipient of some of it. Not one, but two of my fellow–and very talented–food bloggers have honored me by nominating this blog for The Versatile Blogger Award! Again!

So, for my first nomination, a big thanks to Kim at Treats & Trinkets, who will make your tummy grumble and your sugar tooth do a happy dance with her divinely sweet temptations–I mean, French Toast Cupcakes with Maple Cinnamon Buttercream, Peach Crumble Cups, and Sweet & Salty Nutella Brownies…need I say more?

My second thank you is offered with heavy heart to the naughty girls at Dirty Girls Kitchen. They nominated passioneats(along with others) in their very last post–Eve and Cassandra are closing shop for now to pursue other ventures. Though the girls are gone, you can still get your grub on with their tantalizing recipes, like Fried Oysters Rockefeller, Kona Coffee Glazed Chicken Wings, and Bananas Foster Ice Cream. Throw in their make-me-blush banter and you’ll be laughing, you’ll be crying…you’ll be licking your fingers. I’ve felt kinship before in the blogosphere, but never like this–can you say, food twins?–sorry to see these kitchen sisters depart from the scene, but I smell collaboration ahead.

Now on to business. With the passing of this torch, comes the responsibility to nominate fellow blogs/bloggers that are noteworthy…who to choose, who to choose! Here are my deserving few:

Boulder Locavore – Toni for Colorado-centric cuisine that’s inspiring and (mostly) gluten-free.
Healthy Foodie Travels – Kiri explores exotic edibles with gusto.
iamafoodblog – Steph, your graphics blow me away. Oh, and then there are your recipes.
I’ll Have What She’s Having – Lynn, because Chocolate Marzipan Cake. ‘Nough said.
Kitchie Coo – Maggie, so sweet, so funny, so talented…with an adorable daughter to boot.
My Fudo – Camille & Marie dazzle with spectacular photos and mouthwatering recipes.
NYCityEats – Lacy is a girl after my own heart, I mean, just look at the title of her blog.
Pass the Sushi – Kita serves it up in her own adorable fashion.
Spice or Die – Ange because she truly is delicious to death.
tastes good to me! – Kale is a charming storyteller with great style and lovely recipes.
Will Cook For Friends – Willow cooks up kicking Continental cuisine with some snazzy snapshots.

And finally, when accepting this award, I’m supposed to share 7 random things about myself. Well, since I’ve done that before, I won’t bore you with it again. But, if you really want to peek behind the curtain, you can check it out here.

And now–back to cooking! I have some exciting things lined up to usher in the beginning of Spring, so please stay tuned and enjoy this glorious weekend!

Hi Pennie!! Thank you so much for the award, and sorry to be so late in my gratitude! I have been missing from blogland for a few weeks and have missed reading your posts. I promise to get caught up soon and to pass the blog award torch. And I promise to fill you in on where I’ve been. 😉 Hope you are well!!
